![]() ![]() This does massive damage, meaning if Reindog players can frequently and accurately land as a ball in front of their partner it can be a useful offensive strategy. However, while Reindog is rolled up, a partner can then pick it up and throw the ball at enemies. Performing it in mid-air will make Reindog roll up into a ball, landing to the ground. The Flying Floof is useless when fighting on your own, but can potentially be a great tool when used co-operatively. This is a good way of creating a hazard between Reindog and opponents, and when combined with Reindog’s projectile attacks it can make it difficult for opponents to get near. On top of that, the crystal will stay in place for a while and will fire bolts of lighting to the ground every few seconds, doing electrical damage to any opponents it hits. The crystal will give Reindog and a nearby ally an electrical melee buff, which means the next time you hit an opponent they’ll take electrical damage. The Power Crystal is an interesting move, which sees Reindog summoning a crystal which spawns upwards (how high depends on how long you charge it). However, given that Reindog is supposed to be a ‘support’ character it’s understandable that not all of its offensive moves are going to be hugely effective. This move doesn’t penetrate armour like the Flounce Pounce does, and it’s not particularly powerful either. It’s similar in a way to Pikachu’s ‘Skull Bash’ move in Smash Bros, in that Reindog dives sideways delivering a headbutt of sorts. When Reindog’s in the air it won’t do the Flounce Pounce – instead, it’ll perform this air attack. If you’re up against an opponent who’s using armour (such as Wonder Woman’s shield), the Flounce Pounce will pass right through it as if it wasn’t there. What it does have, however, is a purple visual effect, which means it can break through armour. ![]() It’s not the most dramatic move, it has a fairly short range and it doesn’t do an awful lot of damage. This is a fairly basic sideways attack in which Reindog pounces forwards and slashes opponents. ![]() What’s more, while the Love Leash is active, if any opponents touch it they’ll slowly cumulate damage. This means if your partner is in trouble or is falling off the stage you can quickly yoink them out of danger. It’s not like an elastic band or anything, so your partner is still free to move around normally without it affecting their movement.Īt any point, though, you can press the Neutral Special command again and Reindog will yank the Love Leash back, pulling its partner back with it. Using it attaches a rope to your partner, tethering you to each other. The Love Leash is Reindog’s most unique move, and the one that can lead to the most interesting strategies when playing with a partner. MultiVersus Reindog guide – Moves Love Leash Many of its other melee attacks can also be charge, making Reindog a pretty powerful character (albeit a little slow) at close range too. This can be charged, and can also be aimed, making it a very versatile move. Reindog’s neutral standard attack is a useful projectile which can be aimedĪlthough we’ll deal with Reindog’s specials in a second, it’s worth noting its neutral standard attack first, in which it spits a projectile at opponents. Its power crystal move can be a useful way to annoy opponents, while its selection of projectiles can keep them at a distance. Unlike some other support characters, however, Reindog has enough offensive moves in its arsenal to ensure it can hold its own in battle too. Reindog is a ‘support’ character, which means its primary role is to help out its partner. MultiVersus Reindog guide – Fighting strategies The Battle variant can’t be unlocked through gameplay, and has to be bought with 1500 Gleamium (the game’s premium currency). This gives Reindog a rather nifty suit of armour which makes it look a bit like a Roman Centurion. Reindog’s default skin is naked as the day it was born, antlers and all.Īt launch, it has one variant, which is called ‘Battle’. MultiVersus Reindog guide – Skin variants That’s because it’s never actually appeared in anything before, and is an entirely new character created just for MultiVersus.Īccording to Warner Bros, Reindog is from the world of Zanifeer, where its task was keeping the royal family safe from harm.Īs the name suggests, Reindog looks like a big giant dog, but with the antlers of a reindeer.Īlthough it’s an original character, we have the feeling that Reindog will develop quite a following given its cute appearance and its MultiVersus fighting style. Of all the characters in MultiVersus, it’s almost certain that Reindog is the one you’re least familiar with.
